Bearing to next waypoint indicates the bearing to the next FMC waypoint and is read relative to the compass card. The pointer stows at the 3 o’clock position when the HSI in the VOR/ILS mode.
BEARING TO NEXT WAYPOINT1.If the bearing pointer on both HSI’s fail to work, the FMC is the likely problem.
2.If the bearing pointer fails on only one of the HSI’s then its either the indicator or the on-side DAA.
