- Way Point Proximity Alert Annunciator Inop:
Notes:
The waypoint proximity alert annunciator is turned on by the FMC when the airplane is 10 seconds away from the next waypoint transition. It is turned off when the airplane starts the transition.
ALERT ANNUNCIATOR1.The annunciator can be tested using FMCS BITE, FIXED OUTPUT TEST. HSI selector switch must be in NAV position. The annunciator will illuminate during the fixed outputs test.
2.If the alert annunciators of both HSI’s fail to illuminate, the FMC is the likely problem.
3.If the alert annunciator fails to illuminate on only one of the HSI’s then its either the indicator or the on-side DAA.
